Instead of concerning yourself about petty things like cosmetic eyelid surgery maybe we should be giving thought to something such as evolution versus creationism. The oldest debate known to man rages on even to this day, with those in favour of evolution believing that it is ridiculous to believe in such childish things like God and Heaven. On the other side, the Creationists hold true to their age old beliefs and will not allow anyone to convince them otherwise. But does it have to be that way? Why can’t it be both?
Evolutionists point to the obvious mistakes of the Bible. How can you believe God created the world in seven days? They ask. Well it’s a good point, but it’s flawed. They are not looking at it in the right way. Here’s an example: you are God, and you want to explain to the people of the world how the universe and everything within it were created. Remember, the people of 4,000 years ago were not the most sophisticated people in the world. They believed that the world was flat and only consisted of a small area of land, they thought the sky was finite and the stars were holes in Heaven. They thought the smallest micronism in the world was a flea (only what they could see). How do you, as God with unlimited knowledge, explain the Big Bang, or even microbacteria and particles, neutrons and quarks? You explain it to them as you would a child: “n the beginning, I created the Heavens and the Earth”; i.e. the Big Bang. How else could God explain such advanced ideas to these primitive people?
If God truly exists then He would logically use science to do his bidding. Why wouldn’t he? If God is real, then He also created science, or at least functions within its boundaries.
It is easy to make criticisms and to choose a side. Sure, I believe in God, but I’m not an idiot. Evolution is the logical way of things, and just because the Bible got it wrong (or should I say how people have interpreted the Bible) doesn’t mean God isn’t real.
