I was always one of those people who thought blogging was for nerds, the same way going to a financial advisor was a waste of time if you run a small business (believe me: it’s not...). But now look at me! I’m worse than anyone I know! I love a good blog, and, using all that I have learned from blogging, here are a few reasons why you should start your own blog up and love it too.
1) It’s a good place to vent your ideas: writing a blog is like having a go at your mental punch bag. It allows you to get rid of all your ideas – irrelevant of if they work or not, who cares? It’s your blog? – and moan about whatever you choose. That’s a good enough reason on its own if you ask me.
2) You can be part of something amazing: there are millions of blogs out there. Isn’t it cool to think that you are part of what is basically a new and amazing revolution?
3) It’s free! That’s right folks. It’s completely free. There are loads of blog providers who offer free blogs. You don’t have the unlimited choice you would get from having your own web-site, it’s true, but you do have a fair bit of freedom to customize it how you see fit.
4) If you’re a writer why not show your work? If you’re a band then you can publicize yourselves and upload music for your fans to hear. For all these reasons and many more you should get a blog.
